As part of “Wordless Music: 800 Years of Minimalism – The Spiritual Transcendent”, Rhys Chatham’s “A Crimson Grail”, a piece for 200 Guitars, will premiere at Lincoln Center next Friday, August 15th.
I will be part of the guitar orchestra as a Soprano 2 part in Guitar Section 3. There will be 4 Guitar Sections surrounding the crowd. It promises to be nothing short of amazing! The event is 100% free and open to the public; no tickets issued or required. It is an outdoor event in Damrosch Park just south of the plaza at Lincoln Center. The program starts at 7pm and “A Crimson Grail” is the second piece on the program, starting at 7:30. However, there is an expected crowd of over 10,000, so if interested, think about getting there early.
