Crap! is it LOUD, but so dynamic, expressive, punchy, articulate... I bought it as combo for my house and it's currently getting more time cranked up in my studio. For the time being (and perhaps much longer?), it has replaced the Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier as my main studio amp. I am in the "never sell" camp as well. From things I've read, the difference would be that this amp uses all the same parts and suppliers as the original Hiwatts. The newer builds do neither of those things. Also, as noted in this post, someone claims "it differs from the current reissues in retaining the GZ34 valve rectifier stage, and only putting out 13.5W rather than 20W."
